Block Club Clean Up a Great Record number of residents turn out to help. Nice weather shined on our 2008 Block Club Clean Up. It started with coffee and donuts at Judy's house where members go to coffee katch a bit before starting to work and to and pick up gloves and trash bags for the clean up. We swept the street and picked up all the garbage that accumulated under that winter snow. This perked up our look of our block and lets our neighbors We put a major effort into the block between Baynes and Hoyt, which is part of our Club. Many heavy bags of sweepings and trash were loaded into Larry's truck and dropped off at the corner to wait for city pick up. Thanks to everyone who participated. If you couldn't take part, please help throughout Special welcome to all the first time particpants and new block residents who took part! We finished off the morning with delicious pizza at Judy's...next year we'll have to order more because of all the great help we got! |
